Microsoft can bulge out, Windows Defender is still and always one of the best antivirus software on the market.

And it even has the luxury of exceeding certain sizes in this area, according to AV-TEST.

Windows Defender still untouchable

Last November, Windows Defender showed its teeth during the AV-TEST signed comparison to determine the best antiviruses on the market. The platform had put in competition a little more than 20 different software, with a rating system established on three distinct criteria: Protection, Performance and Ergonomics.

Windows Defender was then on par with many reference software, collecting the maximum score of 18 points.

At the start of 2022, we find this same study signed AV-TEST. This time, it is based on the month of December. Once again, Windows Defender demonstrates its effectiveness and again takes top marks, as do Avira , F-Secure , G DATA , McAfee and Norton Life Lock .

Better still, the Microsoft software, integrated into Windows, manages this time to exceed a few sizes like Avast , AVG or Malwarebytes. All three missed the maximum score by a small point (and even half a point for Malwarebytes ).

Once again, Microsoft Defender therefore demonstrates its effectiveness, but also demonstrates real consistency by maintaining the maximum score from one test to another.
