After another week of meetings with clients, I reflect on this issue.

In addition to the obvious (probably) tasks – to improve relationships, work through fears, anxieties, heal traumas, psychotherapy is the time and place to discover “something else”.

For example, something else that is in the place of my anxiety, something else that is in the place of my rage or sadness. Something else in my relationships with others. Something that I did not know about myself (or forgot), and that can become part of my Self.

To decompose something complex and, assembling it back, discover something new. It takes time, desire and, of course, interest.

That’s why I do psychotherapy – I like to be a participant, and sometimes just a witness to these discoveries.
